I want to acitvate a choclate phone that was on a verizon plan can i activate it on cingular??

my friend de activated her chocalte and gave it to me and i dont know if i can acitivate it on cingular or if i can swich sim cards what do i do

You can%26#39;t use a Verizon phone on Cingular/AT%26T%26#39;s network. Verizon%26#39;s phones and network are CDMA, which doesn%26#39;t use sim cards. Cingular/AT%26T%26#39;s phones and network are GSM, which require a sim card in order to work. They are two completely different technologies and are not compatible with each other. i have cingular but i dont know how the verizion sims look like its worth a shot putting you cingular sim in and seeing if it works. Cingular and Verizon usually don%26#39;t mix nope No you cant. Verizon phones dont use sim cards.
