So it can work with all gsm networks...
Answers:
it%26#39;s been hacked.
it%26#39;s not really a locked phone... it requires several things to activate.
1 an at%26t sim
2 iTunes activation (currently only with at%26t)
3 a compatible sim (many are not)
4 a compatible gsm service for the advanced features to work. like visual voicemail, push imap, and Safari access.
part 1+2 is the current hack.
like one of the other posters said... I woudn%26#39;t do it.
But part 3 is easy for travellers who care to save some cash while travelling. iPhone is only compatible with AT%26T, sorry :( Yes, I have personally unlocked a number of phones. Not a single problem with them after doing so.
In fact, it is the law that cell companies provide you with the unlock codes for free, on request. Check out www.copyright.gov - for more detail
Hope this helps!
Good Luck! I do NOT suggest you do that.
