I want a new phone but my contract isnt up yet...alltel?

I have alltel and I want this phone http://www.shopalltel.com/product/promo. I have more that 6 months to go before my contract ends. Would I have to pay the retail price or the instant rebate price?

I have that phone and its great.Do you have insurance on your phone? if so tell them that its broken and you want a new one.you will have to pay 50 dollars and the difference in price between the two phones...if you dont have insurance then go get it...I think you have to wait 30 days before its active so just wait a couple of weeks(after you get insurance) and then tell them its broken and you want another one!! They may just have you push out your contract for 2 years and 6 months. Call them and see what they will do for you. It wouldn%26#39;t hurt if you have been with them for awhile and talk it up like you really like the service and would never switch. you probably want to call them directly so you can see what can be done, but askin me i think they might want you to pay full price, usually those instant rebate prices are aimed to new customers Cell phones cost several hundred dollars or more depending on the model. When you sign a two-year wireless contract, they discount the price of the phone below cost to get you as a customer. Now you are a customer, they are not going to discount a replacement phone.

You can always try to buy an Alltel unlocked phone and have it switched to your number, but expect to pay plenty for the new phone if bought before your contract expires. I think you can get the rebate price if you extend your contract. (It specifies 2 years). You%26#39;ll need to talk to someone with Alltel though.
