My phone is a Motorola RAZR V3xx. The songs i put on are in mp3 format, which the phone supports. i can play the songs on the phone, but i cannot select them as ring tones. Any ideas?

go to sounds, options, go to the song u want, apply as,then ringtone...?? you can%26#39;t use songs in MP3 file as a ringtone. It should be a wav file and other files except MP3 it cant actually be done, trust me, i have tried. i have also asked several differant verizon stores and all of them tell me it cant be done. maybe its not a feature on ur fone I used http://www.myxertones.com to send my ringtone to my phone. I have an LG VX8300 from Verizon.
I uploaded the file I wanted (it was .mp3 extension) and typed in my phone number. Then I checked the Verizon users box and then pressed Send. In a few minutes I received a PIX message containing the audio file. It started playing automatically. After I played it through once, I pressed the right soft key (Options) and selected Save As Ringtone. And then I was done. My phone supports MP3 ringtones.
