There is an option listed under the setting for texting. It will show the service center number. I believe it is a number that starts with 205. (you will have to get the rest of the number from the carrier.) If that number is incorrect then you will not be able to send a text. When you call T-Mobile they will ask you to try sending a text from your phone to your own phone number to see if you receive that. Call in from a landline, their number is 1-800-937-8997, that is will help to troubleshoot the phone. You may need to get a new SIM card. Sometimes SIM cards burn out and need to be replaced. Call your local provider for the cost of the replacement SIM. At my company we do NOT charge for replacement sims. Good Luck
