is the replacer with the same provider as the broken phone? if so, depending on your carrier u will have several options. if u have tmobile or at%26t u can simply remove the sim card form the old one and put it in the new phone. if have vzw, u can chane the phone online once u register the account and prvide the required number from the phone.. some of the other carriers may require u to call them or visit a local store and have them do it but if the phones are through the same company, then u will not be switching your acount but just replacing your phone It depends. I have verizon and you just go to their website, login with your account info and select near the bottom to add/change phone. You can put the EIN number in and change the account to the new phone.
I%26#39;m not sure about the other providers but sure you can call them to have it changed. go into your cell phone company%26#39;s store or site they can switch it over for you.
Make sure the new phone is compatible with the cell company.. :) if your phone is verizon then you need to go to a verizon place and activate the phone or call customer service, but if its any other company that uses sim cards you can take the sim card of the old phone and place it into the new phone and it should work properly If your phone uses a "sim-card" - it%26#39;s a simple matter of plugging the sim-card into the other phone. Otherwise, you need to contact the cell-phone service provider and have them switch your service over to the other one. you will probably need to take both phones to your cell phone providers store and they can help you. if you have a SIM card just switch it over. It has all your acct info in it. The SIM is usually behind the battery and it looks like a 1/2"x1/2" card. pop it in and should work. Hi Jackie,
Remove the sim card from your broken phone and put it in your other phone and you are done. You new phone will have your old number and everything.
