I recently was given a blackberry pearl (T-mobile but my service is through AT%26T) that was purchased off of ebay. Everything works fine except when I am in my home I cant place calls , it always says, "call failed." I need a website that explains things in simple terms.

But, I%26#39;d definately call AT%26T about it. It could be a compatibility issue in your area. They may have to open a ticket and attempt to correct the problem. I would just tell them that you got the phone as a gift, since they hate hearing that they are resold on places like eBay.
Good luck! If you have any other phones do they work in the house? If so then it could be a phone problem. I suggest a call to ATT and please let them know its an unlocked phone. YES it makes a difference in troubleshooting.
