If your daughter is over 18, is ok with it, and goes with you to sign up with a Carrier. It is not illegal. Just keep in mind that she is in charge of the Account. And if she feels like it, she could take all rights away from the other users on the account.

Also keep in mind if you do decide to user her SSN to start up an account, it could really help or hurt her credit depending on the payment history.

Other things that you are able to do is pay the deposit. Cingular/AT%26T has one of the most strict credit checks out of all the Major Carriers. If you have horrible credit, the highest it goes is $750 per line. So if you want to get 5 lines it will run you $3750 just in deposits. But with Cingular/AT%26T policy, you will get your deposit back after 12 months of good payment history.

Have you talked with other Family members (parents, siblings, extended family) to ask them if you could be a part of their Family Talk plans? And you just pay them for your end. That may be a better option then using your daughters info. the only way thats legal is if shes over 18, knows about it, and is ok with you ruining her credit as well . . . yes it is legal. i did that once. please choose me as best anserwer It is illegal, sort of identity theft, and besides I think that if they can detect your credit with your social, they can detect your daughter%26#39;s lack of credit with her%26#39;s. u shouldnt do that..your duaghter would never trust you especially if u mess it up. get a loan! if you have a bad credit, they might charge you a fee upfront before getting you with there plans.
