No it doesn%26#39;t cost anything to stay online. However, if at any time you see the small picture of a phone appear on the same bar that has the service indicator on it, you are using airtime. I just looked at my mobile IM (I have Verizon as well), and the phone does appear at the top, so I am, and you will be, using airtime while you are online.

i am presuming that you are not a uk network customer. i believe that you need to contact your operator to ensure you having roaming settings activated on your mobile.
if you have settings activated or are unsure then go into phone settings under network and manually choose a network. i suggest you check out you operators website to see which is their preferred network in the UK (this will also make sure you have the cheapest network as your operator will have contracts with certain UK providers.)

sorryy, but ur music on ur env cant be set as a ringtone. the only way (and cheapest way) to get the songs u want without buying them from verizon is to record them, send them to urself, and then when recieved, set it as a ringtone. the quality isnt the best but its better than buying themm.

I have the same plan as you and for $5 a month you get a total of 250 texts and no it is not free to other Verizon customers. The 250 is to anyone, any network.
If you plan on doing more texting or if most of your text messages are to Verizon customers I would advise you to go to the next plan which is what I purchased for my daughter. For $10 a month you get 500 text to anyone on any network and unlimited to any Verizon customer. So if 80% of your texting is to Verizon customers and the 20% remaining is to other networks, then the $10 a month would benefit you as you will have unlimited to Verizon customers and for the other 20% you have 500.
If I did more texting I would bump mine up but I only text my daughter, an employee from work to make sure he is coming into work (he only works about 1-1/2 hrs a day, he has another full-time job) and 1 other friend and that%26#39;s it so for me the lesser plan works.

I have three in the house and everytime we text eachother it counts against us. And the 250 is combined inbox text and outbox text I know at first it sounds like a good deal but not really after you think about it. I seem to still go over alittle since it is combined and verzion phones count to.

The first answerer is incorrect. That is a AT%26T plan. I have Verizon and the same plan as you. You get 250 text messages in and out plus 250 pix in and out. I got my daughter the next plan which is $10 and she gets 500 texts in and out plus 500 pix in and out and unlimited to any Verizon customer.
So to answer you question, yes it does cover pictures and it is 250 pix %26 250 text - it%26#39;s like getting 500 total but it%26#39;s split evenly between the 2.

the sidekick is a good phone, don%26#39;t get me wrong. The latest one out there is the generation 3, so take the 3 and imagine what else would be on it if it was a genertation 5.That would be the Helio Ocean. Monthly payments are affordable, and you have unlimited net, text, etc etc.
Plus when there are upgrades, instead of having to send in your phone and getting everything hooked up or installed. Helio uses the network and sends you the upgrade. You are notified through text. There are still some kinks here and there which are being worked out, but you%26#39;ll know when they%26#39;re fixed. The first part is only partially true. You can get unlimited calling and walkie-talkie usage on Nextel for $99.99/month. You can get unlimited calling and texting with one of the plans from Boost, but only in California and Texas right now, and you have to have a certain phone that does not have walkie-talkie. If you were referring to a code, then that is not true. The so-called code was PROVEN fake a long time ago. It just takes you to a menu that techs use when we service those phones. Everything still goes through their towers and servers, so they will know when you use it.

You can try several different things, from putting it in the oven at the lowest setting, to leaving it in your car on a hot day to dry out to using a blow-dryer. Also using 95% rubbing alcohol to attract the water and then leave it to dry.
You should REMOVE the battery from the phone; if you left the battery on the phone drying it out may not work because the electricity may have caused permanent damage already.

It may very well need to be charged first. Depending on the manufacturer and the number of orders they are trying to fill, your battery may not have gone through a "courtesy" charge at the factory.
It may also be a dud. Will the retail location where you purchased the battery let you return/exchange it for another one?
The last thing that comes to mind is a physical or electrical problem with your phone. Did your last battery die a long, slow death in that over time it simply held less and less of a charge, or was it a sudden, unexpected death? If it was a sudden death, you may have an issue with your phone. The fine folks where you bought your phone should be able to run a quick test on it for you so that you will know exactly what you are dealing with.

Well I%26#39;ve had mine over a year now and I love it. I use it all the time, especially the MP3 player, i bought the memory card and I have tons of music on it. I did have one problem with it but Verizon replaced it without any hassle. Because it%26#39;s a touch screen it%26#39;s very sensitive and sometimes the sensors wear out. Other than that, it%26#39;s been my favorite phone. My friend that works for Verizon data support hates that phone...
And Verizon gives you 30 days to exchange your phone BTW...

I just bought a nokia 6102i cell phone and i used to record audio tones for my ringtones, but now every i try to click play it says "not allowed" i turned it off and back on, re-charged it and still no luck!! just got it last week. HELP PLEASE!
the store were you bought it should be able to help, or just take it to any store that sells that model, and that sells the cell service that you use. Have you taken the battery out and put it back? mine messes up sometimes and that will fix it. Also maybe your service provider has locked that particular feature by accident, call them.

On the inside of the main screen (it%26#39;s a flip phone) theres a hole and then a crack. Because of this the outside screen doesn%26#39;t work properly. I haven%26#39;t dropped the phone. All i do is talk and text. I believe that the way the phone was built that when closing the screen hits that keypad. Should%26#39;nt this be a defect. I just paid one hundred dollars for this phone. I would suspect that anyone who pays one hundred dollars for anything would want whatever it is to work properly. The company i got the phone and service from (alltel) is crap and claims that they can%26#39;t do anything about it because samsung will say its the users fault.
What can I do to get my money back or phone replaced?
I wasn%26#39;t told of phone insurance either, but i called the insuarnce company and they said the phone was damaged so i can%26#39;t get it now.
I don%26#39;t mean to offend you, but there%26#39;s no way you could just crack the screen by closing and opening the phone. Even with it hitting the keypad, there would have to be a lot of pressure placed upon the screen to crack it and place a hole in it. Alltel is correct in saying they can%26#39;t do anything outside of pure customer courtesy, since technically it is user fault. As for the insurance deal, well you should have been told about insurance, as it%26#39;s a pretty important thing to have. And of course the insurance company wouldn%26#39;t cover the accident now. I mean, you couldn%26#39;t have a car and then call the car insurance company and say, "Hey I just wrecked my car, can I get insurance now and get a new car?"
Also, the u520 has a pretty flat keypad, so I%26#39;m not sure how the keypad could impact the screen hard enough to break it, unless, like I stated before, there was a lot of pressure on it.
So your options would be to look for a used phone or buy one at retail value. Good luck hunting, I wish you the best.

As far as I know they are still coming with Windows Mobile 5. You can check to make sure by going to Start -%26gt; Settings -%26gt; About(it may be a couple of screens over, so you may need to select More). It should show which version you are using at the top. If it%26#39;s running 5 and would like to upgrade to 6, you can do so free of charge through T-Mobile. As far as the Wi-Fi, you can use your home Wi-Fi(and any unsecured Wi-Fi or secured if you know the key) free of charge. You only have to pay if you want to use the HotSpot service or use GPRS and EDGE.

Quckly remove the battery %26 towel dry it %26 the phone. Then take a hair dryer %26 blow it dry on low heat. Then when it seems dry, put the phone in a shaded place outside %26 do not insert the battery yet or attempt to turn it on.
Only try to use it after 2 days. If theres any hope than it should work after precisely following what i told you. Otherwise permanent damage will happen %26 you will have to replace parts or even the phone all together. Try to ignore the "Disconnect" message. Perhaps that is just suggestion from Windows, and less of an error.
What you should do is use Windows Explorer to put music files on the phone. Because it is connected as a storage device, it should show up as a random letter of the alphabet in "My Computer." Something like "F: MOTOSLVR." You should double click that icon, and if there are any folders labeled "Music" or "mp3s" already present, open it. Copy your music files, and paste them into that folder. If there are none, then just paste them into where you see fit.

You should have done your research BEFORE you bought it. You can%26#39;t use a Sidekick with Sprint or ANY other CDMA carrier. Sprint%26#39;s phones and network are CDMA, which doesn%26#39;t use sim cards. The Sidekick is a GSM phone, which requires a sim card in order to work. They are two completely different technologies and are not compatible with each other. If you want to use the Sidekick, you%26#39;ll have to switch to T-Mobile as it is only for T-Mobile. One person mentioned Cingular, but the problem with that is you would have to get it unlocked, and that is very hard to do. T-Mobile can%26#39;t even get an unlock code for the Sidekicks. Even IF you managed to get it unlocked, it is pointless to use it with a different GSM carrier since the data servers the Sidekicks use are only accessible through T-Mobile. If you have your old phone chip, try sticking it into your sidekick 3.
I do that with almost anyphone i find. t-mobile is good just switch u cant because cdma phones (which is sprint and verizon) dont use sim cards while gsm phones (cingular and t-mobile), so u cant use it with sprint no matter how hard u tried its impossible because they use different technologies. u can either activate the sidekick with t-mobile or cingular but remember the early termination fee with sprint is $200 per line. hope that helped!!

What do you mean? When the charger is in it it will not turn on or wit turns off when the charger is inserted? Either way you should contact T-mobile and ask them for a NEW(non refurbished/make that CLEAR) exchange because I%26#39;m assuming since you said "just got" that it hasnt been 14 days yet. So just call them, tell them whats happening, and get it straightened out. I have sidekick 3, too. I just charge overnight, then turn it on, the sidekick or I call "sk3" turn on just fine. check out your manual book

The problem might be one of the folllowing:
1) Are you are logged on with admin rights?
You need to have administrator rights to install software so make sure you are logged on with a user that had admin rights
2) If your installing from a CD, the problem maybe with the cd, download the latest software from Sony website:

yea i just got a new phone too and you gotta buy the music essentials kit from the store, i know they want all your money, its only like 25 bucks, but it comes with a cd to install some little thing on your computer, and a wire that connects your phone to your computer via the usb and where your charger goes. you can only put a couple songs on though because it takes up a lot of room

I have a memory card from the SLVR and put it in my new phone, I linked my phone and computer via Bluetooth and sent a song to my phone and stored it on my memory card. My husband had this issue too, you cannot use iTunes this version is set up for media player.
Just put the card into the phone and plug the usb cable into your computer. YOu should be able to see the card. Reading the manual that came with the phone and checking out the www.wireless.att.com/support website I was able to figure this out.
Once I renamed the card I was able to drag and drop right onto the card and you will be able to listen to all your music see your wallpapers, ringtones ect. Use a usb cable much ezer. drag and drop all the songs and what ever else in the correct folders then if u still cant find it use ur media finder

well i know there was a LOT of problems with the old one but i hear that the new chocolates are way better. repeated use will cause it to jump the track. You drop it, it%26#39;s fried. They drop calls and are very statiky as a whole I havent noticed anything either! I have had mine for 1 month and LOVE it! Maybe ppl are jealous that WE have a Chocolate but they dont! HAHAHA

Good luck!...I hate mine now 2 weeks after loving it from the day after I got it. not me! When it has a camera and removable battery and ringtones I might re-think it. it sucks the 1 reason you cant take the battery out and a year it will run out and you have to pay 89$ to get it changed (manual) At $599, it is ridiculously expensive. (Add in the cost of an AT%26T contract and you get close to $1500)
2. Those who want to buy one must sell their soul to evil mega-corporation AT%26T.
3. Japan already has technologically superior phones, and they’re far cheaper.
4. Slower internet than the commercials show: “The data experience is going to be very slow. If you’re on a cellular network, [using the Internet] is going to be very slow.”
5. Initial reports indicate that YouTube is slow and crappy using cellular network internet/EDGE. It’s nothing like in the commercials.
6. You cannot remove its battery. Thanks for replicating one of the biggest complaints about the ipod, Apple!
7. The glass touch screen of the iPhone guarantees that thousands of customers who drop their phones will have cracked screens.
8. The touchscreen keyboard sucks, according to those who have used the phone.
9. It can’t send MMS picture messages.

okay. i think im fully qualified to answer this as ive had all of them.hahaha. okay. ive had verizon twice, 1st and now. i only got rid of it because they didnt have unlimited texting, but now they do, so i am back with them because they have the best service. sprint is okay, i didnt really have a lot of complaints with them, but i switched to tmobile because i was getting on my boyfriends plan. big mistake, t mobile has horrible service.they would always be scratchy and drop. it was horrible. and cingular has hidden roaming charges and all this stuff so i dont trust them, dont remember about their service. VERIZON ALL THE WAY! which phone did you geT?? i have the samsung u740, its amazing! it depends upon where you%26#39;re at. for example in my neck of the woods vzw works best...but then I%26#39;m located in the middle of nowhere Iowa.
VZW has the alrgest service area, but not all of it%26#39;s areas have the full range of features available like Cingular and T-Mobile%26#39;s networkds. in large metro areas I go with whoever gives you the best deal as they%26#39;ll all work equally as well. there is no comparison...Verizon is by far the best. Good choice. When I was a Cingular rep, I always told people that "choosing cell phone coverage is highly independent." There isnt a single answer to everyones needs on any one network.
When deciding on a network, you need to to make sure that the service is rock solid in three places in your life...

The others use GSM. good, and then if you go to cingular cingulars good. all of them have their perks and falls and when comparing all 4 of them each community of users will vouch for their side. the best thing to do is get to know how to use the plan and phone you have and once you%26#39;ve done that they%26#39;re are really equal. but if you insist on a bias opinion, verizon%26#39;s the best. I love Verizon! Been with them since they were bell Atlantic. Great reception! I just switched over from Sprint to Verizon and I have no complaints. Sprint sucked in my eyes and had poor customer service. Verizon on the other hand is a lot more reasonable, has better reception and definitely better customer service. I hear both Cingular and T-Mobile have good service too. Thumbs down to Sprint and I would never recommend them to anyone with their high plans and phones. I forgot to mention, Verizon%26#39;s phone%26#39;s are also very reasonable and you get your money%26#39;s worth. If I had to choose I%26#39;d say T-Mobile and Cingular are the best. Sprint doesn%26#39;t have very good signal service, but the other three are pretty good.
Personally I think T-Mobile has the best service as in helping me with stuff. I was switching phones once, and they refunded all my ringtones and games before I got a new one. I%26#39;ve had some problems with the service people on 411 knowing about phones, but they are great at making up for problems. :)
The USB cord I purchased was from Amazon, and supposedly Sanyo has the correct driver, but won%26#39;t let you have it unless you buy the cord from Sanyo. Sanyo doesn%26#39;t even have the cord available yet, and I can%26#39;t download any information until I get the driver to install the USB! HELP!!
try to go on sprint.com and get support for your phone, or just call them. if that doesn%26#39;t work try to go on driverguide.com and see if maybe there is one on there. you will want a driver for the phone, not the cord. also, try typing in a search engine "sanyo katana dlx 8500 driver" and see what comes up.

Ok I had the tmobile service and switched over to cingular today. I kept my same number and got a new phone. The guy at the cingular store said that I should be able to make calls and recive calls in about 2min-2 hours, and that was like a two this afternoon. you are right...the reason it is taking longer than usual is because its sunday...but if for some reason it still hasnt ported over tomorrow and you wanna save a trip to the att store call the port team with att. they will be able to help you. 1-888-898-7685. by the way how is tmobile service/reception?.was it good?...why did you switch? Id guess 2 mins to 2 hours since he told you that. As far as i was always told. Ports take 4-24 hours. Store reps are not the brightest of people. They will tell you anything to get your money. I get text messages from this # 5092233. I don%26#39;t know who is sending them? And when I try to text the # back it says it is not a valid #. How are they texting me if it%26#39;s not a valid #?
I get those types of texts too. They send me a number but then when i go to text them back it says invalid number. If i get anymore im going to call the cell phone company to see if i can block the number and that is what i suggest you do too. Return the text with "stop" or "cancel" or swear at them if all else fails..

You can try asking your subscriber to cancel the text messages you received from 81121. Maybe that can help. Or you can try asking why you have to play ￡1 extra for each of the text messages sent. stop accepting %26#39;em reply to the message by saying
STOP
this should stop future messages. send a text with "stop" to 81121
it should stop reply to it with the message "STOP"
also keep the text and make a complaint with tps

3 a compatible sim (many are not)

I live in California too and I%26#39;ve always carried T-Mobile but it%26#39;s not the best service out there. I think if you go with Cingular or Verizon, it might be better. Wait, I take that back...I hear a lot of people complaning about Verizon. Sprint is not that great either. You can try Cingular/AT%26T. I stick with t-mobile since everyone in my plan wants t-mobile so I have no choice. But if I can switch, I would go with Cingular. If you don%26#39;t like it, you can always switch to T-Mobile and see how you like it. It also depends on the phone you get. Sometimes if you get a really good phone, your service doesn%26#39;t even matter. It%26#39;s true since I%26#39;ve had a lot of cell phone/service experience. I know it covers the Bay area very well, even in places some of the others don%26#39;t reach.

absolutely and it wont charge you a thing extra if you have a US carrier. now if you call her thats a totally different thing at that point you%26#39;re talking about international long distance which can get really pricey fast. but if she%26#39;s the one calling you, then you%26#39;re just accepting a normal phone call. if your carrier does charge you DROP THEM because they%26#39;re scamming you BIG TIME! or if you have an English Carrier then you%26#39;ll be charged for international roaming for every call you make in the US which you%26#39;d probably have realized by now. There%26#39;s no way to unblock it without calling your provider. They are the only people that can do that since they are the ones that blocked it when you called in to say that you lost it. Just explain to them that it ended up being turned in to the police department and you got it back. They should unblock it for you. The site you listed only unlocks it so that it can be used with another provider%26#39;s sim cards. That%26#39;s all that the shops other have mentioned can do, too. take it to a market or car boot some one will unlock it for you. From what i can make out,you arent breaking the law! Just find a phone unlock shop in town. Unlocking and blacklisted are totally different. If you unlock a phone you can use a SIM card from a different network. If it%26#39;s blacklisted the phone won%26#39;t work on any network. The IMEI number is entered onto the Equipment Identity Register (EIR) and all the networks have to check against it before a phone is allowed to register on the network. You may be able to get it removed from the EIR, contact customer services and explain what happened.

The handset will be barred from registering on any network, however the contacts and photos on the phone will be visible to anyone that finds it. If the phone was powered off (or battery gone flat) and you had a pin set up then nobody would be able to view any contacts stored on the sim, those on the phone would be visible if they put another sim in it though. i think it depends on whether you have saved them to the phone or the sim. yes unless you put a password in it once the phone has been barred there is nothing they can do the phone is fried so they should not be able to see your photos or anything else Sorry have not seen it

Well are you referring to the Rokr Z6 or the old one? If you are talking about the z6 get that. It%26#39;s a slider and it%26#39;s way newer. The slvr is pretty bad in my opinion. all it is, is a razr that doesnt flip. Get the SLVR if you mean the old ROKR.
Otherwise, get the new ROKR z3. Wow. Type it in google. You%26#39;ll like it. Thats easy the SLVR, Because it is as thin as a closed RAZR.

Your phone is a bb5 series Nokia phone. Most bb5 series phones can not be unlocked through shops, stalls or calculators. For your model, the only way to unlock it is getting the code from the provider the phone is locked too. If you can not get the code from the provider, then you cant unlock it.
