Is that even possible?
Answers:
Yes, for some phones. You can unlock any GSM phone and use it with Cingular but say you took a T-Mobile phone that Cingular doesn%26#39;t carry and you unlocked it, it would work with Cingular but only voice services not data meaning internet or MMS however you may be able to just program those settings. But say you took a T-Mobile Razr and unlocked it, then since Cingular also carries that phone you%26#39;d be able to load Cingular firmware onto it and program it easier to work with Cingular. Hope this helps. Yes, its possible their are various phones for example motorola has some phones that are just for GSM network which you slide in the sim card and its your new phone..
These Phones are compatible w/ att, cingular, altell, t-mobile ect..
anything with a sim card
here is a place in the web to buy motorola unlocked phones:
also their might be a proffesional in your area which unlocks phones...that means you can buy a phone from tmobile, att or just a used one w/out a contract and make it so you can use it with cingular or anything with a gsm network Zombie is correct to a point you can unlock the phones and use them on the network for voice and text. But if for example your trying to unlock a Tmobile phone to the ATT network it wont work for internet or pics, they are not compatible. They are set up differently and there is no way to reformat.
